A Lot Has Changed Since…

A lot has changed since the abuse has stopped.

I’ve started a new life, one without any form of abuse. A life full of love, laughter, and new insights. A life full with friends, supporting family, a study course, amazing pets, and a successful Instagram account and a lot of beautiful people crossing my path. But also a life full of hard moments. Flashbacks, nightmares, fear and pain, but it’s okay. It’s okay to experience both sides of life. It’s okay to fall, to stumble, it’s okay to struggle. I’m building a new life, I’m on a journey to look for a safer world. As safest as it can be, for me. I’m creating it.

A life after sexual abuse is very, very hard but also very beautiful and special.

I’m fighting everyday for a day without any self hatred. If I do hate myself, I will try, with everything in my power, to resist. I will give myself a compliment or present whenever I feel bad. I take care of the hole that I’m feeling. A life after sexual abuse is very, very hard but also very beautiful and special. This journey is important, at least that’s how I experience it. I know how beautiful the future can be. Of course you’ll have to fight for it, but luckily not all by yourself. You’re never by yourself in this world full of people. Find your soulmates, get through it together. You got this.
