Yes. We never share your information with anyone outside of We Are HER’s selection committee.
Will I have to share my story on the application?
You are under no obligation to share any details of your story. It is more important to the selection committee that you demonstrate your need for this scholarship above sharing your story.
What type of mental health professionals qualify for me to work with if I receive this scholarship?
Eligible professionals include licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, licensed mental health counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists, if they provide therapy. The provider must possess an active, unrestricted license in the state where you (the applicant) reside.
The committee also recognizes the potential benefits of seeking therapy from those who may still be in formal, professional training. As such, scholarship funding may also be used to pursue counseling with a professional who is a supervisee in social work, a resident in counseling or psychology, a postdoctoral clinician, or an equivalent title that is registered with their state board to provide clinical mental health services while under the direct supervision of a fully licensed professional.
