Our Programs
HER Survivor Retreat
We host an annual Survivor Retreat in Montana every summer.
Our retreat will consist of workshops and group activities surrounding We Are HER’s three pillars: story sharing, community building, and trauma recovery education.
If you’re interested in hosting a workshop at our retreat, please fill out a request for proposal form on our retreat page.
Survivors, if you’d like to be the first to know when our application for the retreat opens, please email Quinn Cao (she/they). They will email you so that you are the first to know.
mental health scholarships
Professional mental health services are expensive. We offer scholarships to survivors in the We Are HER Family each year to help cover their professional mental health costs.
The We Are HER Podcast
The We Are HER podcast helps survivors share their stories. During each season, our host Emily has a conversation with a different survivor each week.
Each year, our podcast gives 12 survivors the unique opportunity to share their stories with thousands of listeners worldwide. Season 4 is currently recording!
You can listen to our podcast here.
Survivor Blog
We offer multiple platforms for survivors to share their stories. We offer anonymity through our blog for any survivor who wishes to share their story without revealing their identity.
Our blog has over 400 survivor stories from voices across the globe.

Educational Workshops
We help educate survivors on how to heal after trauma.
HER partners with a Survivor Expert who hosts digital or in-person educational programming. Each digital event has brought in 100 survivor attendees.
Some past events include Vulnerability and the Power of Sharing Your Story by Shay Huff of WEM Consulting, Body Positivity After Trauma with Clara Wisner of revolutionary lifestyle, and Dating After Abuse by Tara Larrick of Awaken Justice.
Digital Survivor Meetups
Each month, a trained advocate hosts a meetup for survivors. Our digital meetups are unique in that they bring survivors from all over the globe together for an hour each month. Email Emily to join our next meetup.
