Gifts for Survivors by Survivors

It's time for the holidays which means GIFTS! Why not make this holiday season a little extra special by supporting brands by and for survivors?

1. CHANI
For the 2021 holiday season, CHANI is partnering with GIFTED by FreeForm, a social enterprise focused on building wealth with and for queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, and POC survivors of gender-based violence through entrepreneurship and living wage employment.

2. Purpose Jewelry
Purpose Jewelry offers beautiful jewelry and gifts at a number of price points, and all their designs support their mission of serving human trafficking survivors. You can gift unique jewelry created by survivors while also helping fund the work of International Sanctuary – a nonprofit which has worked to help empower human trafficking survivors to rebuild their lives since 2007.

3. Our Sacred Women
This line of unique, female-focused t-shirts, bags, and small gift items donates 10% of each sale to the Breathe Network, a 501(c)3 organization that helps sexual violence survivors connect with organizations that can provide holistic, trauma-informed healing.

4. Elegantees
This brand is designed and created in Nepal, one of the countries with the highest risk of sex trafficking in the world. The brand employs Nepalese women, many rescued from slavery, and offers them financial freedom through sustainable employment.

5. OneLove
While this organization is initially a foundation dedicated to addressing the issue of relationship violence amongst young people, they also have a great online store that helps support their work. They operate in honor of Yeardley Love, a UVA student who was killed by her boyfriend and work to raise awareness amongst teens and young adults about the warning signs of abuse.
