Control Is Not Love

Not everyone feels like you, so stop wondering if they still care.Not everyone is open to receive love.

I have always thought people in the past must of had feelings if Idid, or I thought because I have a big heart they must too.

The narcissists that I have been with in the past were not capableof it. No matter how much they try to say they care, or they miss you, theyjust miss having an audience. It's all about them and you’re just one of theirfans. They look at life through very distorted eyes. Everything is about themand when you take a step back from them, you can see this.

We all want to believe the best in people, but you can't. Make people prove it to you. Not everyone deserves your attention. The more you realize just how precious you are, the more you will stop attracting narcissistic people altogether. You will be able to spot them from a mile away.

After I was attacked, I knew I was not ready to date again sosometimes I would wonder if my attacker ever cared. And sometimes we have toaccept the truth. Even though he was asking me to marry him, he just wanted tocontrol me.

Control is not love; neither is manipulation, verbal abuse, gaslighting, and physical abuse. I wish more government officials would read these blogs to see what us victims go through. Maybe then my attacker would get more than one month in jail for almost killing me. The fighting never stops; we fight for our life to get out of abusive situations and fight for our lives to keep our heads above water and try to stay positive!

Keep fighting everyone! We will eventually get to a good place inour lives! You will get to a place where you never really think about themanymore. It gets better and you will realize just how mentally unstable anddangerous they are. And in a sense feel sorry for them in a way it must suck tolive like that.
